What does Oracle mean by EBS Build ?

Hello every one,
Note:223927.1 OracleAS Integration with Oracle E-Business Suite:
Statement of Direction
At the end of the document there are a "Certified with OracleAS 10g
Release" table.
There Oracle uses a term "Build" with relative EBS version or Build
versions 2.2, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 4.0.
Does anybody knows what orecle means by those versions?
2.2, 3.0, 3.1, 3.2, 4.0
How they correspond to EBS versions?
