Check your registry entry on the server.

 

hkey_local_machine/software/oracle

 

    In here the there are ORA_<SID>_AUTOSTART entries, these should be
set to TRUE if you want the database to start via the services.

Hello DBA's

 

I have 11.5.9 on windows 2003 server. Everything was working fine by
yesterday.

 

Suddenly my database is not starting when I do by services. But it
starts when I do through command prompt(SQLPLUS).

 

Anyone has any idea on this? Please guide me.
