RE: Reg:DB Refresh in Application

This is not necessary to refresh proddb or Oracle home binaries if you have not
changed any database physical structures like resizing datafiles or added any
new onces if so you need to copy the OHome too or simply you can only copy
clone folder to target from souce thats enough.
But its recommended you should copy oracle home from source to target.

What is the error you are getting when you run adcfgclone.pl dbTier? Look in
$ORACLE_HOME/appsutil/clone/……..
 – there should be some log files related to the adcfgclone.pl there. They
should provide additional information about what is happening. Also, what
about the alert.log? Does it have any information? I’m really sorry, but
there are so many pieces that there is no way we can guess as to what the issue
is without additional information.

You can try metalink note 364565.1, but again, it’s hard to point you in the
right direction if you can’t give us more information about what is happening
during adcfgclone.

The steps to clone are in metalink note 230672.1

Copy the database tier file system if the RDBMS ORACLE_HOME or the database
needs to be refreshed. If refreshing the database, the ORACLE_HOME should be
refreshed at the same time.
perl adcfgclone.pl dbTier <Database target context file>
where database context file is: <RDBMS ORACLE_HOME>/appsutil/<Target
CONTEXT_NAME>.xml

when you are finished and you know your database is good – run autoconfig and
start your apps.

Hello,

What is failing in the clone? Do you have the specific error from the logs?
That would assist us greatly in assisting you.

Thank you,
