Hi Raghu,
You can clone the development instance from production instead of reinstalling
apps. But u'll need to install ur OS first. See metalink note 230672.1

I have one doubt , I have installed oracle apps 11.5.9 production & development
server both.
If in case due to some problem if development server crashes.Do i need to
reinstall including linux & oracle apps, patches database.?
If i have oracle apps teir & datbase teir backup. How i can restore it on new
machine?.Or can i take the production server back up & restore it on new server
directly. What is the solution in these situation?
Please advice.
