Hi Virendra,

 

If you see an error like this:

 

> ERROR:
> ORA-12224: TNS:no listener



That is the first thing you need to correct.    You said the listener is up, 
but if you still have a message like the above, there is still a problem.  Try 
to go directly from SQL*Plus using the listener.  

 

Check out note:  1078891.6

 

Your Listener starts but you cannot connect through it.  SQL*Plus with a 

connect string fails with no Listener. Without a connect string it connects 

successfully with bequeath.  

 

Your addressing information in tnsnames matches the addressing information in 

"listener.ora".
