Re: 10g R2 Oracle Net Configuration- Problem during 2 node RAC installation on RHEL 5

Shastry,

Check if the vipca was able to configure the virtual IPs. You can use
crs_stat on the CRS ORACLE_HOME or use the OCRDUMP tool and check the dumpfile
for the presence of the vip resources.

Usually I have problems with the vipca, it is not able to correctly
identify the public network and fails during the silent vip configuration. This
step is done when you run the root.sh script during the CRS install. A error
message appears on the middle of the output, but it is easy to miss it. The
solution is to run vipca manually and configure the virtual IPs using its GUI.
Beware of the netmask, the tool changes it to a default value that might not be
what you need, so double check it.

Regards,
Luis

Hi Gurus,
I am trying to setup RAC with 10g R2 and could suceed till Oracle software
installation, while configuring listener I am facing the below problem, dont
know is it related to any permission issue. Could anyone please show me the
light OR lend me the RAC setup (10g R2 on RHEL 5)? Thanks in advance.

Error Details:
Problem in configuration: Nodes(s): linux1: CRS-0213: Could not register
resource 'ora.linux1.LISTENER_LINUX1.lsnr'.
Nodes(s): linux2: CRS-0213: Could not register resource
'ora.linux1.LISTENER_LINUX2.lsnr'.

Try again?

If anyone can let me know the installation blog/ doc it will be really helpful.

Thanks,
Ann
