All of their cars are electric-only and go at least 300 miles between charges. Electric motors are more efficient than gas motors, but battery technology needs to catch up before EVs get within reach to average Joe's and Jane's such as us. I wish them well. Their strategy is to target early adopters in the same style that brought laptops, cell phones, and other electronic gizmos onto the market (remember the Bowmar Brain?) at high prices initially, but as they gained acceptance prices dropped and the rest is history. No reason to think the same couldn't happen for electric vehicles. Market forces are in place, and the upside is incredibly tantalizing. The same forces are at work in our profession. Who could have predicted the ubiquity of OCT even 15 years ago? To many of us, the very idea was too science-fictiony even to contemplate...but here we are. Would any of us design a new photo suite without OCT? Of course not. As for off-grid living, I'm more of a smart grid advocate, especially for cities. But that's another topic. John ******** John C.
