[optimal] Re: What is living off the grid?

As a small boy, I used to help my mother load up the old washing copper with wood so she could boil the clothes during the washing process and then I would use the hand wringer to wring them out.

No rinse cycle, no spin dry, no clothes drier, and the clothes were virtually sterilized of any nasties.

Them were the days. :D
