Has anybody seen the Zeiss FF450+ artifact in the attached image? Note the
shading that's arcing across temporal side of the image on the left. The only
difference between that and the image on the right is another press of the
trigger -- nothing else in the room has moved.
It's random, unpredictable. The shading might come halfway across the image or
a fourth of the way. I might get 1 or 4 at a time, which means more photos,
more flashes at the patient. It can happen during Colors, R-F's or FA's. It
shows up darker with poorly dilated eyes.
I've had two different Zeiss service technicians out recently to address this,
and one thought that it might be a part of the filter mechanism not getting out
of the way and that it would be an expensive job to replace it. This same
issue occurred 5 years ago, and the Zeiss tech did something simple that cured
the problem. Neither he nor I can recall what he did.
Any suggestions?
