Mark,
If you still have your old optacon, there's a chance it could be repaired, or,
if not, the parts could be used. Many of us on the list have had our machines
repaired since there are a few people who are willing to perform this valuable
task. The prices are quite reasonable.
As far as where to get optacons, stay tuned to the list since people
occasionally pass on notes about optacons for sale from other lists.
