Fresnel lenses have inherent Optical Distortion for off-angle viewing. I'm
not sure whether they would yield anything useful for someone trying to view
text through the small aperture of an Optacon's standard camera.

$350.00 for the magnification camera. After I bought it, my husband
mentioned the magnifier you can put over a paper. I am thinking that I need
it more for tiny writing on bottles, but that flat device might work there.
That might be something you could explore before thinking of purchasing the
camera. If you do, I would be interested to know how well that would work.
