Zenith upgrades 2004 ad spending forecast - Jul 19, 2004 05:01 AM (Reuters) LONDON, July 19 (Reuters) - Media buying and planning agency Zenith Optimedia raised its 2004 ad spending forecasts on Monday, saying the lacklustre European market was finally shaking off the effects of the advertising downturn. Zenith, owned by France's Publicis (SBF:PUBP), said it expects global ad spending in major media -- newspapers, magazines, television, radio, cinema, outdoor and Internet -- to rise by 5.7 percent in 2004, from its previous forecast of a 4.7 percent increase in December.
