[opendtv] Re: Why Europe should choose 720P for HDTV

I can't disagree with most of what you say.  I was thinking about 1080i 
as a transmission format, not display.  It's value as a display format 
for the moment comes from 1080i RPTV's probably being the best bang for 
the buck at the low end of the price spectrum.

I'm trying to make my 5 year old 55" Toshiba limp along until I can get 
a 1080p something or other (besides FP).

But by the time 1080p displays are standard, so will be the good 
deinterlacers in them.

You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways:

- Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at 
FreeLists.org 

- By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word
