Not me. Although it would remind me of the late and
unlamented CED videodisc format. Remember that one? I
think it lasted until the mid 1980s or so?=20

The article said this. I agree that this seems like a
non-issue. After all, compared with LP players, you
could certainly say the same thing of CD players.
Technology takes care of these problems.

Yes, I agree that this seems like it will be the case.
Which leads me to believe that no warmed-over red laser
DVD with WM9 codecs will satisfy the real studios at all,
for HD movie distribution.
