Yes.  In fact, we provide VOD for our programming we originate for that
very reason.  Also, my wife now watches all here favorite TV programs on
the computer while she works.  If it can't be viewed on the computer, she
probably doesn't get to watch it.

However, as much as I wish it was, most programming is not available on
VOD.  I wish I could VOD a F1 or NASCAR race.  It just isn't available
anywhere.  It might be available through BitTorrent, but then I am not
paying for it.  I don't mind paying for it.  But if I pay for it, I want to
watch it.  Also, I rarely consume an entire race in one sitting.  The
current VOD offerings don't allow for that.  It's watch it once through and
you are done.  So I go without, for the most part.

Movies on DVD are great for us for many reasons.  I can rent them for a
reasonable amount and the price is right at only $20 a month.  I don't care
about waiting for their release onto video. They are sometimes better on
DVD than in the theater, not only because of convenience, but also because
I can get the director's cut and the many added features.  In fact, my wife
gets disappointed when there are no extra features!

However, PPV and VOD through the MVPD distribution models don't give us the
convenience I need.  For instance, once you watch the movie you are done.
My wife always falls asleep the last half-hour so there is no point in
purchasing something you can't go back to.

Have you ever heard of VOD?  [i.e. Video-on-Demand] The technology provides
exactly what you want when you want it. You don’t have to record anything
to get that convenience.
