You are wrong. This box cannot do anything to a compressed
 video stream.

Page 18 of the manual:

"Digital signals from any compressed source have intrinsic compression
artifacts such as mosquito noise. Whenever the image source is digital
and compressed, the VNR-1000 card should be set to the MNR mode."

"When the image source is not compressed, DNR mode should be selected."

You are either incorrigible or just plain ignorant!

Did you look at page 18?

Do you understand why there are two modes of noise reduction?
MNR - for the removal of MPEG- compression artifacts
DNR - for the removal of dynamic or Gaussian noise

Did you look at the I/O specifications on page 23?

        SD/HD SDI Video
        Signal: HD (SMPTE 292M) (1.485, 1.485/1001 Gbps)
SD (SMPTE 259M) (270 Mbps), autodetection

Do you know what SMPTE 259M and 292M are?

Clue - they are serial interfaces for the carriage of baseband digital video signals Bert.

Stop making an ASS out of yourself.

Craig
