[opendtv] Re: VHF Stations Seek Solutions for Reception Problems, by Doug Lung

Thanks, I also came across most of the same very interesting info during my
searches. My goal however was to find available UHF and VHF CP antennas that
are suited for home broadcast reception. The bulky four bay quad Log
Periodic array wouldn't likely fill that need, though the performance is
very good. So far the Wade helical UHF antenna is my the find.

The remainder of these items are generally science projects and some have
significant potential for indoor, outdoor and mobile reception.

FYI: ARRL Antenna Book depicts several circularly polarized
antennas...most used for SATCOM.

Most (not all) of the following frequency independent antennas are CP:

Jasik's "Antenna Engineering Handbook" depicts how four log periodic
antenna structures
can be arranged as four sides of a pyramid, with two side arrays
offset from the top/bottom
arrays to provide circular polarization, similar to fol. Quad Zig-Zag
Array:

[Reading forward, you'll see it identified as a JFD TV Antenna.]
