Craig, this problem is well-known on the Replay forum at avsforum.com. I think the usual way to fix it is to download the 3.0 image (there should be a link at the forum, if not ask and they will provide it), and copy it to the drive (I don't know if you can do this through the serial port, you might have to pull the drive). I have an old one lying around that I haven't got around to selling yet, they go for $150-200 on ebay (without added drive space). David Craig wrote: So now I need some expert help. I strongly suspect that the software update can be downloaded via the serial port used to connect to some DBS boxes, but I have no idea where to get the download file or what it takes to communicate with this beast. The unit claims 30 hour recording capacity - the unit configuration seems to indicate that they may be space to add up to three more drives to the unit. Can anybody help? Does anyone know what this thing is worth (or is it worthless)? Does anyone want to buy it? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways: - Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at FreeLists.org - By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
