Good point Cliff, but I would modify your sentence slightly. The interlace artifacts on progressive displays are due to the less than perfect sampling of the interlaced camera. This makes it virtually impossible, in MANY cases, for ANY kind of de-interlace processing to accurately predict the missing samples, resulting in errors in the presented samples that are perceived as image artifacts. Regards Craig I would also note that interlace artifacts are OFTEN highly visible on 1080i displays when presenting 1080i source. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways: - Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at FreeLists.org - By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
