By itself maybe not. But on my survey the question is "which do you use most?" so it does indeed indicate the people are actually using the darn things. That is, according to the poll, the percentage actual USE of OTA integrated TV's among AVS'rs as the main source of HDTV doubled in this last year, though still only to 7.69%.

This at the same time OTA STB use shrank.

If possible, it seems to me that doing everything except emission
encoding at 1080p/60 is a bit more future proof. I'd wager many
folks will be glad or sad some day based upon whether they have
final product archived in 1080p/60 or higher.

Seems to me that the BBC HDTV trials, Peter Wilson (and others at IBC
2005), and Mark Schubin, are all in agreement that one can improve on
720p acquisition by going to 1080p. Even if this latest EBU test didn't
make the specific comparison of 720p vs 1080p acquisition, I'm not sure
why what you say above should be so hard to accept. It seems kind of
self-evident.

On another subject, your survey results seem to indicate that OTA
integrated TVs and OTA STBs add up to at least 20 percent, except for
2004 and 2005. As you say, with the tuner mandate, that number will go
up. But by itself, that increase will not indicate use of DTT.

I'd expect the OTA STB figures to spike up before 2/18/2009, then drop
as integrated TVs and integrated recording devices are sold.
