If you were to compare multi-channel penetration on the mainland with
that in Hawaii based on household incomes you would find pretty much
the same level of penetration.
The situation on the mainland is somewhat mixed. Multichannel
penetration is fairly high in households that live in section 8
housing and receive government checks. The largest use of OTA is
among those who do not qualify for government cheese, especially
illegal aliens.
And then there are those who simply just say NO to TV.
I agree with Frank. The only people who will be making a big deal out
of the analog shut-down, will be consumer groups and politicians
looking for sound bytes...
