John, I see you indicated your first TSReader screen shot you were referring
to the BOTTOM picture from KCET. So I apologize for the HD canard.
However, you did not highlight ES PID 97 so we still cannot tell if it is
480i, 480p, 4:3, or 16:9.

with identifications. The top image is of KCET. You will note in the
thumbnails on the right of the screen, the bottom one is 704x480 16x9
video.
You mean the one labeled "KCET HD"? Pitty you didn't highlight PID 48, so
we could see what TSReader claimed the video format was. You say it is
704x480i, the station labeled it as "HD" so there is a conflict of
information that you have not resolved. My money says that PID 48 is
1280x720p or higher, hence KCET's designation as "HD." (For we all know
that 704x480i isn't HD.)
