[opendtv] Prouder to announce: AUREA by Philips

Hello friends,

Forgive me the one-time shameless plug, but we are very proud to
announce the "Philips Aurea", the next generation of "Ambilight".
It was officially introduced yesterday at the IFA in Berlin.

(http://www.aurea.philips.com/ Adobe Flash required. Don't forget
to click "see entire film" and "full screen". Enjoy the ride !)

We think that there is so much more to viewing experience than just
picture quality. And we still have a monopoly on various kinds of
ambient lighting, thanks a.o. to a good patent position. (Sorry
Doug, but that's the way it works if you've got mouths to feed.)

There's a couple more web-sites about the Aurea, next to the official
Aurea launch site (http://www.seductionbylight.com/) there is a semi-
official launch site with a few photographs of the Paris pre-launch
event: http://seductionbylight.smugmug.com/

Greetings,

Dear Philips colleague,

Today Philips presented to the outside world, our latest jewel. At the IFA
press conference, the new AUREA Ambilight TV was introduced with the
prestige of a world cinema premiere of the latest short film of movie
director Wong Kar Wai.

This film is not a usual advertising campaign, it is a unique piece of
cinema commissioned by Philips to be shown on Aurea screens in-store and
online.

It has been envisioned, written, and directed by Wong Kar Wai, master of
seduction by light, in a spirit of glorifying the Aurea effect using rich
saturated colours and exquisite imagery, but also as a cinema story to
grab and hold the viewer's attention for a whole 8 minutes.

It is a story about Love. Seduction. Light. Colours. "She was a secret
agent. He was a wanted man. He thought she was blind. She thought he was
in love. They tried to cross the border of human emotion but discover only
one could make it."

Be an ambassador of this wonderful work by sharing this experience with
friends and family.

Enjoy the film at http://www.Philips.com/Aurea
