[opendtv] Proud to announce: PNX5100

Hello,

See: http://www.nxp.com/acrobat_download/literature/9397/75016130.pdf

Those of you who have attended The Technology Retreat 2007 may know
that I have designed some parts of the output pipe of this processor.
One interesting part is the processing of wide color gamut signals,
for sending xvYCC signals to wide gamut displays ("x.v.Color" logo).
The screen shot of Rutger's tool on page 2 of the .pdf illustrates a
color calibration method. This week Rutger and other guys of NXP are
in a hotel in Berlin (where is the IFA exhibition) to show off the
first silicon to their customers. My involvement dates from before
the time when Philips and NXP Semiconductors were divorced. :-(

I can also announce now that per 1 October 2007 I will move from
Philips Applied Technologies (back) to Philips Consumer Electronics,
to the Innovation Lab where I have already been stationed for years.
This is a very minor change for me, but it permits me to keep doing
what I like best. I'll adapt the signature after the move.

Best,
-- Jeroen
