I'm thinking that XM's modulation already is OFDM-based.

Or you could just switch to a COFDM based modulation. Qualcomm's cell
phone hidden antennas seem to work just fine.

I used a set of headphones that had an XM antenna hidden in the
headband, and it worked quite well with a portable XM unit. No need to
walk a certain way or orient your head to the south ;)
