I know that subsequent posts have made fun of this idea, but it's already happening, and pre-dated the iPod by almost two decades. Portable "walkman-style" FM radios have used the headphone wire as an antenna for many years. You could argue whether that application is more of mono-pole than dipole, or rabbit ears. You could also show lots of portable TVs that only use a single rod for an antenna. In response to another obvious tongue-in-cheek comment, three years ago I used a set of headphones that had an XM antenna hidden in the headband, and it worked quite well with a portable XM unit. No need to walk a certain way or orient your head to the south ;) Ken >Craig Birkmaier posted: Think of it this way. Apple made wearing white ear buds fashionable. Can the CE industry make it fashionable to walk around wearing rabbit ears? ----------------------------------------- This message (including any attachments) may contain confidential information intended for a specific individual and purpose.
