You know better than me, John. What was PBS using last night, for their
DTT feed of the State of the Union address? I assumed SD digital, but
maybe not?

But you do bring up a point. I have noticed that some SD looks better
than other SD. So that's it, perhaps? The fuzzier SD is actually NTSC?
Interesting.

By the way, I was expecting digital SD to be transmitted in 16:9, but
that hardly ever happens. Lucky for me, the shows I record are all HD,
so all wide screen. Of course, the DVD recorder is the big equalizer,
making all HD look no crisper than SD. Still, at the 3 hour record
speed, not bad. And I get the little HD logo on the bottom, which of
course makes all the difference.
