No Bert, THAT'S NOT the problem.
The problem is the crap that is offered by the FTA broadcasters. You
my think it is good programming and offers plenty of choice, but the
vast majority of Americans do not agree with you.
And that's not to say the pay TV is all that much better, although it
does provide a wide range of content that is optimized around
"special interests," (not political lobbies).
Many Americans are doing other things with their time.
