[opendtv] NorDig releases DVB-T2 specification

Would be nice to know how many in the DVB-T countries are using
integrated receivers, and what the reaction would be to a migration to
DVB-T2. I'm positive that the public at large, in DVB-T countries, is
oblivious to any such plans.

NorDig releases DVB-T2 specification

NorDig has specified the minimum requirements for receivers that can
receive NorDig compliant signals based on the DVB-T2 specification.

The terrestrial broadcast networks in the Nordic region are all served
by DVB-T based broadcasts.

Analogue broadcasts have already been shut off in most of the region
(all of Finland and Sweden, as well as most of Norway).

NorDig said that in some of the Nordic countries, introduction of HDTV
and MPEG-4 AVC may be combined with the introduction of transmissions
based on DVB-T2. A migration from DVB-T to DVB-T2 is being considered in
the other countries.
