The number of consumers who already have an ATSC receiver is
statistically very small. The percentage of these consumers who have
the desire to upgrade to a better receiver is therefore even smaller.
These "consumers" are most likely are people in the industry with
more than casual interest in DTV reception. Bob may be right that
they will be the first to line up and buy a 5th gen receiver, but
they are statistically insignificant.

The most likely adopters of 5th gen receivers are people who are
buying their first DTV receiver/display. By next summer, anyone
buying a display that 36" or larger will be forced to buy an ATSC
tuner, or a monitor with no tuners at all.
