[opendtv] Re: Nightline being blacked out by Sinclair

Another side of the story....

(Paul Wolfowitz, Deputy Defense Secretary, when asked this week how many
casualties there had
been in Iraq thought that the number was about 500 when there have been nearly
750. I guess this should be required viewing by those in the Bush
administration who don't
even know OR CARE how many are being killed.)

Among the comments are ones from John McCain

One excerpt:

McCain had issued a stinging rebuke of Sinclair in a letter of protest to
company president
David Smith.

"There is no valid reason for Sinclair to shirk its responsibility in ... a
very misguided
attempt to prevent your viewers from completely appreciating the extraordinary
sacrifices made
on their behalf by Americans serving in Iraq," McCain wrote.

"Your decision to deny your viewers an opportunity to be reminded of war's
terrible costs, in
all their heartbreaking detail, is a gross disservice to the public and to the
men and women of
the United States Armed Forces."
