[opendtv] Re: News: Video board approves Apple-supported codecs

There's just WAY more to these things than the hardware, and although branding
cannot be ignored, that's not the end of the story either. I've played with a
ton of these things and the biggest headache is always the software interface
to
my music library. I've been using Musicmatch for a couple of years now, but
it's driver for my Creative Jukebox 2 is imperfect, so I use a 3rd party
transfer utility from Red Chair Software.

All these Asian 'knock offs' might have decent hardware, but they always fall
down in software and their user-interface. I myself will likely pick up an
iPod
in a few months. If only because it does nearly everything right and the
software support is ubiquitous.
