To clear this up the TSM1000 does only support the DSI, but there TSM/TSS 2800 supports the published Ethernet table interface. Triveni is the only company that I know of for sure that has implemented the interface. I think that Linx has also implemented this interface, but I am not sure. All of the LI Mux's have always supported table insertion through the ASI/SMPTE 310 interfaces. They also support the carouseling, in the event the the table generator *crashes*. This of course NEVER HAPPENS. The LI mux also support a rules based user interface to force map the PIDs to comply with any standard, now and tomorrow. The 18K is for the fully licensed TSS with all 8 inputs and outputs. You can buy it as a TSM with 2, 4, 6 and 8 inputs and save money. This is a bargain compared to the Thales or Tandberg mux. I can get you a copy of there open Ethernet specification.
