HD Alliance Tops Radio Advertisers In 2007

WHITE PLAINS, NY -- January 4, 2008: The HD Digital Radio Alliance was 2007's top radio advertiser, with 1.5 million spots aired nationwide during the year. That's according to Media Monitors' year-end Spot Ten survey for 2007, which shows insurance behemoth Geico in second place, with 1.4 million spots. Verizon came in third for the year, with 1.1 million spots, followed by Home Depot, with 1 million.

The rest of the top 10: McDonald's (954,983 spots), Ford Lincoln Mercury (680,932), Wal-Mart (664,773), Chrysler Jeep Dodge (627,138), Toyota (589,789), and AutoZone (587,487).

The HD Alliance was also the leading advertiser for the Country and Top 40 formats.
