I'm stating what I notice out there, not just in my home, but in other homes. Not only are second and third sets fed off an antenna quite common, but folks who use DBS and OTA together are also quite common. The end result is that actual TV households that make use of OTA are at least double those that are using OTA exclusively. The number goes from 15 percent to the high 30 percent range, which is not at all a negligible number. To suggest that OTA transmitters might as well be shut off sounds odd to me -- something you might hear from a cable or DBS system promoter. Y'all in the employe of these umbillical networks? Obviously, in a market like Gainesville, where OTA TV is mysteriously absent, you probably will get a distorted idea of what TV is like everywhere else.
