Sure, their business model -- for the moment -- is to charge you for free
information that they enhance.  I wouldn't call that independent in any
sense.

This new box seems to almost do it all. It receives analog and digital
OTA and cable programs (has two CableCard slots), and Internet TV
programming, and it can access the TiVo service via Internet or phone
line. I suppose this makes it independent of both the PSIP EPG and the
cable company's EPG.
