This new Broadcom 3563 chip

http://www.broadcom.com/collateral/pb/3563-PB00-R.pdf

appears to be a completely integrated chip like the ATI Xilleon 240,
capable of ATSC and digital cable with out-of-band signals for CableCard
(includes 1024-QAM). All you need is a tuner. What's interesting about
the Broadcom is that it deinterlaces 1080i into 1080p. No mention of
A/74 compliance. And it's built in a 65 nm process.
