Oops. The brand new Sony A900 sports 24.6 Mpels, in a full frame sensor, so
that beats out the 22 Mpel Canon D5. It also uses a nice line of Carl Zeiss
lenses.
Although the tradeoff now becomes ultimate ISO rating. The more pixels you cram
into a given sensor area, all else equal, the more noise created at high ISO
settings. So that mimics film, where the higher the ISO rating, the grianier
the image.
