I agree we will see 1080P available in displays larger than 50"

You owe yourself a visit to a Best Buy in your area, preferably one with
the Magnolia section in it. We went Saturday. The first thing I noticed
was that 42" TVs are starting to look positively small, even among the
non-Magnolia items. There is a plethora of 50" to 70" TVs out there, and
1080p TVs as small as 40" seem downright common.
I visit the CE retailers all the time Bert. And yes, surprise,
surprise, they have lot's of big screen TVs on display.
And yes, you can find 42" displays with 1920 x 1080 rasters.
None of this changes the reality that the average size of a TV sold
today is still BELOW 30 inches.
And then there is the reality that most homes have more than one TV.
No doubt there will be one big screen in most homes eventually. That
home will also have multiple smaller TVs.
Regards
Craig
