Consider this:
If there IS intelligent life somewhere else in the universe, maybe=20
50 light years away, it's possible they have seen our television=20
transmissions.=20
The very first thing they might have seen would be Adolph Hitler.
Later, Milton Berle in a dress, then Lucy, Superman and Gilligan's =
Island.
Given these images of us they may have seen, is there any doubt in your=20
mind why we haven't heard from them?

Ah, THAT Lucy. Having grown up in an environment that was not
continuously irradiated with Desilu reruns, I didn't make the=3D20
connection. I figured it was some well known test clip, like
flowergarden or Suzi. I guess I need to take more Vitameatavegamin.
