The problem is, nothing is ever as solid as it seems to be.There were serious rumors that FOX was fed up with BD-Java and was considering a switch to HD DVD. There are rumors that Disney has been testing the triple-layer 51GB HD DVD format as their preference for Blu-ray was said to revolve primarily around disc capacity.
There's still money out there to offer and until the wallets are shut, anything can happen.

Warner switched to it a few days before CES. Also, Toshiba appears to be the only manufacturer of HD-DVD players so far as I can find on store shelves. It's the same story as Beta vs. VHS. HD-DVD might be bettertechnically in some respects, but with the movie makers behind it, Blu-Ray will be the winner.---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways:- Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at FreeLists.org - By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
