Yes.  The current draw of the miracle 5th generation chips, when the mantra 
at the last Zenith/LG 8-VSB seminar I attended was "it's only silicon." 
Apparently running a set top Cray to combat multipath has energy use 
consequences.

I find it more than a bit hypocritical of California to presume to regulate 
the power usage of ATSC set top boxes yet remain mute on the power 
consumption differences between a CRT and a Plasma display.
