Acting Chairman Copps and Commissioner Adelstein have, in the past,
contrasted the "lack of planning" for the analog switchoff (due this AM
at 0000 hours) with the planning done for Y2K. Well, as it looks now,
the two experiences are indeed identical.
The whole Y2K frenzy was blown all out of proportion. Those with "la
dolce vita" approach to life, Italians, did virtually nothing, and it
was as anti-climactic for them as it was here in the US.

Sounds like the sky is still floating over our heads.
