If this system is to work RIGHT, it can't depend on timeouts.

It needs to have somebody who can THINK to work on the
design before it is formalized. This was not done. This is
very very typical of commercial organizations.

Of course, the correct solution is to have the box
set so that it only tries to get the guide for the
current station. My current Accurian box
can't do this. My old Samsung can.

Other than that, another correct solution is to have
multiple ... say three ... antenna inputs, and search
separately for each antenna. Then it can switch to the
correct antenna for each station.
