Here's an interesting read. I hadn't seen where some of these viewpoints
originated. They have obviously been repeated many times, as gospel truth.

Some points made in these pieces are that no one wants to pay more for
pretty pictures, that HDTV will be too expensive as it's being designed,
that ATSC is "not extensible."
Sometimes it's good to look back. It should help mitigate dogmatic thinking
in the future.
