Yes, but I don't live in Chicago, and the Wash and Balt stations that went back
to VHF went to high VHF exclusively. What I meant was, these four stations
should have found a way to test their VHF transition, maybe after midnight,
DURING the transition. While they were still transmitting digital in UHF.
I think what happened was that the FCC got tunnel vision looking at the results
of their favorite signal propagation model, and never stepped back to do the
smell test. Try other models, for example. Or look at that A/54 rule of thumb
and wonder why you're so far off. Simple stuff like that.
