And in the latest table of allotments my television station is allocated a
maximum of 50 KW.
This supposedly replicates the coverage of our 1.3 MW ERP NTSC station.

I lied. That distance is two miles.
Here's some good info about coverage for London:

where the punch line is basically 30 mile coverage for the longer range
directions (with outdoor antenna).
Whch seems a close match for the Paris Eiffel Tower transmitters, at 35 KW
ERP. In fact in Paris, the first translators are just under 30 miles from
the Eiffel Tower.
So again, there are no surprises.
