I've been using this one for some time:

http://pcpitstop.com/internet/bw.asp

It gives you a choice of servers to test with, and it gives ping times, upload,
and download speeds all in the same test.

The effect of the different servers is a little odd. The further the server is,
as expected, the longer the ping times. But the odd part is, your download and
upload speeds might still be faster even when the server is further away. I
suppose it depends on the vagaries of exactly how the ISP net is configured.
