[opendtv] Re: FCC on digital translators

By the way, this proceeding isn't about digital translators and LPTV
stations per se, but for those types of stations that are supplementing
coverage of DTV stations post-transition to account for decreased coverage.

Also, it's a "hail mary"; start an NPRM, then permit interim applications.
That's almost always a bad idea, and these applications will, most likely,
not go through smoothly, due to opposition from wireless operators.

Digital translators and LPTV stations will also be able to operate on
Channels 52-59, in addition to the core channels.
 
And it looks like, they can operate at the same power levels as the analog
service they replace? How odd.
