I guess we got off on the wrong foot with this dance. I never said a thing about any specific terrestrial broadcast system DAB, DVB, ATSC, DMB et all. What I was trying to ask is why do we have multiple infrastructures for broadcasting different services. Obviously this was the RIGHT STUFF for a different era - the analog era. An era that is now far far away from modern digital broadcast realities. The question is why do we continue down this path? Both DVB and DMB segment services and can provide appropriate levels of robustness for any service, at any time, based on the real-time demands on the network. We can change the product mix dynamically based on what people need in different day parts, and innovate with new services, even new technology as things evolve. I guess it just depends on who's ox is being gored.
